Information We Collect
Information may be registered and stored when you register on www.boatboot.no, when you contact sales and support via email, chat, or when you use our services.
Where We Store Your Information – and Who We Share It With
Our e-commerce platform is provided by Mystore.no AS, and data is stored in their cloud services at Amazon Cloud Services (AWS) data center in Ireland.
Third-Party Service Providers
The Data Controller also uses services provided by third parties. Here is an overview of third-party service providers where information may be stored:
Vipps:
If a payment is made via Vipps in the online store (or our physical store), your phone number is sent to Vipps for further identification.
Klarna:
If payment is made via Klarna in the online store, personal information such as email, name, address, and social security number is shared with Klarna for credit checks.
Mailmojo:
Mailmojo is used for email marketing and sending newsletters. Names and emails may be shared with Mailmojo.
Google Analytics:
Google Analytics is used for traffic analysis. IP addresses and visit patterns are stored.
Tripletex AS:
Tripletex is our accounting system, and data necessary for bookkeeping is stored here, such as names, addresses, orders, and invoices.
Logistra:
Logistra is our supplier of EDI solutions. When you shop at our online store, information such as name, phone number, and address is shared with Logistra for shipping label and transport printing.
Bring:
We send packages with Bring, and thus share shipping-related information, such as name, phone number, and address.
PostNord:
We send packages with PostNord and share shipping-related information, such as name, phone number, and address.
Communication via Email and SMS
As a customer, you may receive emails and SMS messages regarding your customer relationship. For example, we will send you emails/SMS messages related to orders you have placed, tracking numbers, forgotten passwords, and information related to your customer account. This is defined as legitimate interest, and no consent will be requested.
We also use email for marketing and communication. As a customer of the Data Controller, you will receive newsletters from time to time as long as you have given explicit consent. You can unsubscribe from newsletters by clicking the unsubscribe link in the emails.
Access and Correction
You are entitled to access the information we have registered about you. You can request access by sending an inquiry to post@boatboot.no. If the registered information is incorrect or incomplete, you can request that it be corrected in accordance with data protection laws.
Retention and Deletion
Information that is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected for will be deleted from our systems.
